§ 45-cc. Reckless operation and speed on the canal system. 1.\nNotwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter or any inconsistent\nlocal laws, every vessel operated on the canal system, as defined in\nsubdivision one of section two of the canal law, shall be operated in a\ncareful and prudent manner in such a way as not to unreasonably\ninterfere with or endanger any other vessel or person. A violation of\nthis subdivision or any applicable rules and regulations shall be a\nmisdemeanor punishable as set forth in section seventy-three-b of this\narticle.\n 2. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter or any\ninconsistent local laws, no vessel shall be operated on such canal\nsystem within one hundred feet of the shore, a dock, pier, raft, float\nor an anchored or moored
