§ 344. Number of attendants upon courts in certain counties. In any\ncounty where the compensation of the attendants provided for in section\nfour hundred and three of this chapter, is now fixed by statute at the\nsum of three dollars per day and mileage, the number of attendants to be\nappointed for any one term of court, pursuant to said section, shall not\nexceed eighteen.\n
