§ 308 — Stenographers appointed by justices of supreme court to attend terms

§ 308. Stenographers appointed by justices of supreme court to attend\nterms. 1. The stenographers appointed pursuant to section one hundred\nand fifty-nine of this chapter, by the justices of the supreme court,\nresiding in the county of Kings, shall severally attend, as directed by\nthe respective justices appointing them, the terms of the appellate\ndivision and trial and special terms of the supreme court, in the county\nof Kings.\n 2. Each of the stenographers, appointed pursuant to said section one\nhundred and fifty-nine, by the justices of the supreme court, for the\nsecond judicial district, who do not reside in the county of Kings, must\nattend as directed by the justice appointing him the trial and special\nterms of the supreme court, held in the counties of Suffolk, Queens,\nNassau and Richmond, or either of them, and, when not thus officially\nengaged, the stated terms of the county court, in each of those\ncounties.\n 3. Each of the stenographers appointed pursuant to said section one\nhundred and fifty-nine by the justices of the supreme court, for the\nninth judicial district must attend, as directed by the justice\nappointing him, the trial and special terms of the supreme court held in\nthe counties of Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange and Rockland, or\neither of them, and when not thus officially engaged, the stated terms\nof the county court in each of those counties.\n 4. Each of the stenographers appointed pursuant to said section one\nhundred and fifty-nine, by the justices of the supreme court for each\njudicial district except the first, second and ninth shall attend such\nspecial and trial terms of the supreme court in his judicial district as\nhe shall be assigned to attend by the justices of the supreme court, or\na majority of them, for such district.\n
