§ 30-e. Seal of Livingston county and of the county clerk and the\nsupreme court.
1.The county of Livingston, the county clerk of said\ncounty and the supreme court therein, shall have and use the following\nseal:\n Description of Seal\n The Seal shall be approximately 2 1/4 inches in diameter and shall\nconsist of two concentric circles. The space between the outer and inner\ncircles shall have a white or plain background; the upper part of the\nspace between such circles shall be inscribed with the words in capital\nblock letters "LIVINGSTON COUNTY" and in the lower part shall be\ninscribed with the words in capital block letters "NEW YORK STATE." The county clerk of Livingston county shall cause the design of\nsaid seal (in black and white) to be engraved upon metal. From time to\ntime he shall obtain and make available, and keep in good order and\nrepair as many of such engraved metal seals as may be necessary for the\nproper performance of the duties of his office and of the duties of the\nclerks and officers in the supreme court authorized to use said seal.\nAll the expense incurred by the county clerk incident to said seal shall\nbe a county charge against the county of Livingston.\n 3. Such seal shall be used and affixed only:\n (a) by the county clerk of Livingston county or by any deputy or clerk\nduly authorized by him; and\n (b) by any justice of the supreme court resident in Livingston county,\nor by any clerk or officer duly authorized by said justice.\n 4. The use of said seal or of any replica or simulation thereof, in\nform or substance, by any unauthorized person or for any wrongful\npurpose, is prohibited. Any violation of this prohibition shall be\ndeemed to be a misdemeanor and punishable as such.\n
