§ 222. Expenses of judges and justices. Notwithstanding any other\nprovision of law, and subject to such rules and regulations as the chief\nadministrator shall prescribe:\n (a) each judge of the court of appeals, each justice of the supreme\ncourt, including the justices of the appellate divisions thereof, and\neach judge of the court of claims shall be reimbursed for his or her\nactual and necessary transportation expenses, and such other travel\nexpenses not to exceed seventy-five dollars per day as he or she shall\nactually and necessarily incur in the performance of his or her judicial\nduties outside the county wherein he or she is provided chambers and\nother than in a county having a population in excess of seven hundred\nthousand or in a city having a population in excess of on
