§ 3. Compensation for property of a municipal corporation, school\ndistrict or district corporation taken by eminent domain. Where property\nof a municipal corporation, school district or district corporation is\ntaken in the exercise of the power of eminent domain for a purpose\nsubstantially different from that for which it is held by such municipal\ncorporation, school district or district corporation, just compensation\nto the municipal corporation, school district or district corporation\nshall be made in the same manner, to the same extent and subject to the\nsame limitations as though it were private property.\n
