§ 300. Municipal websites.
1.All municipal corporations having a\npopulation, as shown by the latest preceding decennial federal census,\nequal to or greater than one thousand five hundred persons, shall\nmaintain an official website with a ".gov" domain name that is\naccessible to the public and update such website regularly, as follows:\nthe official website shall contain basic information on the municipality\nincluding but not limited to hours of operations, elected officials and\nservices provided and the website shall contain a privacy policy that is\nprominently posted and written in plain language that informs website\nvisitors of any personal information that is being collected and how it\nis being used; provided however, that any municipal corporation having a\npopulation, as s

All municipal corporations having a\npopulation, as shown by the latest preceding decennial federal census,\nequal to or greater than one thousand five hundred persons, shall\nmaintain an official website with a ".gov" domain name that is\naccessible to the public and update such website regularly, as follows:\nthe official website shall contain basic information on the municipality\nincluding but not limited to hours of operations, elected officials and\nservices provided and the website shall contain a privacy policy that is\nprominently posted and written in plain language that informs website\nvisitors of any personal information that is being collected and how it\nis being used; provided however, that any municipal corporation having a\npopulation, as shown by the latest preceding decennial federal census,\nof less than one thousand five hundred persons, shall comply with the\nprovisions of this section to the extent practicable. For purposes of\nthis section, a municipal corporation that hosts its official website on\nanother municipal corporation's ".gov" Uniform Resource Locator (URL)\nwill satisfy this section's requirement to maintain an official website\nwith a ".gov" domain name.\n 2. All municipal websites of municipal corporations having a\npopulation, as shown by the latest preceding decennial federal census,\nequal to or greater than one thousand five hundred persons shall, at a\nminimum, contain the following information:\n a. all documents required by subdivision seven of section thirty of\nthis chapter;\n b. notice of all municipal elections, public hearings and public\nmeetings including regular board or legislative meetings;\n c. agenda and minutes of municipal meetings as required by article\nseven of the public officers law; and\n d. an up to date version of, or an active hyperlink to, the\nmunicipality's codes or local laws and resolutions; provided however,\nthat any municipal corporation having a population, as shown by the\nlatest preceding decennial federal census, of less than one thousand\nfive hundred persons, shall comply with the provisions of this section\nto the extent practicable.\n
