* § 207-e. Minimum retirement benefits for firefighters in cities and\nwho are members of fire department pension or retirement systems\nmaintained by such cities.

1.Notwithstanding the provisions of any\ngeneral, special or local law, charter or administrative code to the\ncontrary, and in lieu of any lesser amount otherwise prescribed, any\nperson who is an officer or member of the uniformed force of the fire\ndepartment of a city, and is a member of a fire department pension or\nretirement system maintained by such city, and who has completed service\nas a member of such city-maintained fire department pension or\nretirement system for the minimum number of years specified in such plan\nor option selected by him as a necessary prerequisite for a pension or\nretirement allowance on ac
