§ 71-2507. Pollution of tidal wetlands.\n Where any tidal wetlands are subject to pollution, the commissioner\nand attorney general shall take all appropriate action to abate the\npollution. In addition, the commissioner may restrict or order cessation\nof solid waste disposal, deep well disposal, or liquid waste disposal\nwhere such is polluting a given area of tidal wetland. Where pesticides,\nchemical products, or fertilizer residues are the polluting agents, the\ncommissioner shall confer with other appropriate public officials to\nlimit the use of such substances at their source; after appropriate\nconsultations, the commissioner may make such rules and regulations as\nhe deems necessary under section 3-0301 of the environmental\nconservation law.\n
