§ 71-0711. Injury to municipal or private lands.\n Any person who causes a fire which burns on or over lands belonging to\nanother person or to a municipality shall be liable to the party injured\n(a) for actual damages in case of fire negligently caused or (b) for the\nhigher of actual damages or damages at the rate of five dollars for each\ntree killed or destroyed in case of fire wilfully caused.\n
