§ 653. Transmittal of record to the governor. Within a reasonable time\nfollowing the issuance of the warrant as provided in section six hundred\nfifty of this article, the clerk of the court in the county in which the\nperson was sentenced to death shall transmit to the governor a statement\nof conviction and sentence, and the transcripts of both the trial and\nthe sentencing proceedings, including, to the extent practicable, any\nexhibits introduced therein.\n
