§ 908. Appointment and salary of county clerks.
1.The county clerks\nof the counties comprising the city of New York shall be appointed and\nremovable in pursuance of section thirteen of article thirteen of the\nconstitution.\n 2. Each of the county clerks of the counties comprising the city of\nNew York shall receive an annual salary of not less than the minimum\nannual compensation received by a justice of the supreme court of the\nstate of New York elected from the same judicial district in which the\ncounty for which the county clerk serves is located.\n 3. Said salaries shall be in lieu of all other fees or forms of\ncompensation for services rendered in the performance of the duties of\nthe office.\n 4. Notwithstanding any of the provisions of this section or of any\nother law,
