§ 9. Executive director. The office shall exercise its authority,\nother than powers and duties specifically granted to the board, by and\nthrough an executive director nominated by the governor and with the\nadvice and consent of the senate. The executive director shall serve for\na term of three years and once confirmed, may only be removed for good\ncause with appropriate notice. The executive director of the state\noffice of cannabis management shall receive an annual salary not to\nexceed an amount appropriated therefor by the legislature and his or her\nexpenses actually and necessarily incurred in the performance of his or\nher official duties, unless otherwise provided by the legislature.\n
