§ 1008. Effect of invalidity of part of article; severability. If any\nprovision of this article or application thereof to any person or\ncircumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other\nprovisions or applications of this article which can be given effect\nwithout the invalid provision or application, and to this end the\nprovisions of this article are declared severable.\n
