Text
A.Each local school board and governing body of a charter school shall develop or adopt digital or written guidance for parents that promotes student safety in, on and around bodies of water and water infrastructure, including information about local options for age-appropriate swimming lessons and other water safety courses.
B.Beginning in the 2025-2026 school year, all public schools shall provide the parents of each student with the guidance developed pursuant to Subsection A of this section upon the student's enrollment at a public school or no later than the tenth school day of a school year. The guidance may be conspicuously incorporated into a district- wide or school-specific handbook published for parents and students; provided that the public school receives written acknowledgm
