§ 58:12A-12 — 9b Entities, persons in violation of Lead In Drinking Water Disclosure statement provision.

a.A landlord found to be in violation of section 3 of P.L.2025, c.144 (C.58:12A-12.3c) shall be provided with a written notice of the violation by the Commissioner of Community Affairs and given 15 days to cure the violation. If the landlord has not cured the violation after 15 days, the Commissioner of Community Affairs may impose a penalty of $100 for a first violation, $500 for a second violation, and $1,000 for a third and subsequent violation. The penalties applicable under this subsection shall be enforced by the Commissioner of Community Affairs pursuant to the "Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999," P.L.1999, c.274 (C.2A:58-10 et seq.) in the Superior Court.
