§ 56:6-19 — Legislative declaration of policy

New Jersey·Title 56 TRADE NAMES, TRADE-MARKS AND UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES
(a)It is hereby declared that: The methods and practices of the distribution and sale of motor fuels in this State have developed unfair methods of competition in the marketing of motor fuels; such conditions have produced waste harmful to the public and impaired the sale and distribution of motor fuel; that such conditions have caused unfair methods of competition in the industry resulting in the impairment of the supply of motor fuel needed by the general public and thereby affecting the general economic welfare of the people of this State.
(b)These conditions vitally concern the health, safety and general economic welfare of the people of this State.
(c)The distribution and sale of motor fuels within this State is hereby declared to be affected with a public interest. The provisions
