§ 55:19-15 — Prevailing wage rate

New Jersey·Title 55 TENEMENT HOUSES AND PUBLIC HOUSING
Any builder, contractor or subcontractor engaged upon a project within the meaning of this act, and any person, firm or corporation managing or operating such a project, including the corporation and its subsidiaries, shall pay the workmen employed in the construction, reconstruction, demolition, or rehabilitation thereof not less than the prevailing wage rate. The prevailing wage rate shall be determined by the Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Labor in all cases, except that the prevailing wage rate shall be determined by the Secretary of the United States Department of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act as amended (40 U.S.C. s. 276a to 276a-5), when the loan or other assistance given by the corporation in connection with the work, or the funds of the corporation or
