Text

The commissioner shall appoint a deputy commissioner, who shall be designated to perform all of the powers, functions and duties of the commissioner during the absence or disability of the commissioner, and who shall perform such other duties as are assigned by the commissioner. Such appointment shall be subject to the approval of the Governor and shall be filed with the Secretary of State. The deputy commissioner shall be a person qualified by training and experience to perform the duties of the office. L.1981, c. 122, s. 7, eff. April 16, 1981.
