§ 52:27H-32 — Membership; appointment.

4. a. The authority shall consist of seven members as follows: (1) Six public members, at least two of whom shall be representatives of the New Jersey casino industry, to be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate; and (2) The Treasurer of the State of New Jersey, who shall be an ex officio member. b. Vacancies in the membership of the authority shall be filled in the same manner as prescribed by law for the original appointment, but for the unexpired term only. c. No more than four members of the authority shall be affiliated with the same political party. The public members of the authority shall serve for a term of five years and until a successor shall have been appointed and qualified; except that of the public members first appointed pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1991, c.375, the Governor shall designate upon appointment: two members for a term of five years, one for a term of four years, one for a term of three years, one for a term of two years and one for a term of one year.
