6.The offices and terms of the commissioner, deputy commissioner, assistant commissioners, directors, deputy directors, executive directors, and all other employees of the Department of Commerce and Economic Development and of its various divisions and offices, except as herein otherwise provided, shall terminate upon the effective date of this act. The Commissioner of Personnel shall exercise all best efforts to find and offer employment within State service for employees of the Department of Commerce and Economic Development who are employed by the department on the date of enactment of this act, and who are not offered positions with the commission or who, having been offered such positions, choose not to accept employment with the commission.
