§ 52:27C-16 — Study of transportation; harbor, etc., facilities

The department shall survey, investigate and study the transportation, storage, port, harbor and terminal facilities and needs of the State and of particular industrial areas, and the co-ordination of such facilities with existing or future means of transportation. The department shall prepare a comprehensive and co-ordinated plan for the development of harbor, port, freight terminal and transportation facilities in the State, in co-operation with other State and interstate agencies having jurisdiction over related matters. The commissioner shall recommend to the Governor and the Legislature such policies and projects as are suggested by such investigations, plans and studies. L.1944, c. 85, art. 2, p. 172, s. 16.
