The powers and duties heretofore vested by law in the State Tax Department and in the State Tax Commissioner are hereby transferred to the Division of Taxation, and the director thereof, respectively, in the State Department of Taxation and Finance. L.1944, c. 112, art. 4, p. 304, s. 1.
