a.The Board of Public Utilities is designated as the agency of the State Government responsible for implementing and enforcing the provisions of P.L.2009, c.4 (C.18A:18A-4.6 et al.) and for responding to requests for assistance from public entities, including boards of education, boards of trustees of public institutions of higher education, contracting units, and public agencies, authorized to implement an energy savings improvement program pursuant to P.L.2009, c.4 (C.18A:18A-4.6 et al.).
b.The board is authorized to investigate, review and take appropriate action with respect to procurements for energy savings projects conducted by public agencies, other than State contracting agencies, pursuant to P.L.2009, c.4 (C.18A:18A-4.6 et al.).
