Every railroad company operating freight or passenger trains or engines or cars in this State, over or upon any tracks, or on any bridges or other structures carrying tracks of the kind commonly known as runaround or temporary tracks, shall, before any such use of said runaround or temporary tracks, install cautionary boards not connected with the automatic block signal system of a kind and character, sufficient to call attention to the engineers who are required to operate steam, electric or diesel engines or motors over such tracks, of the presence and existence of such runaround or temporary tracks, which cautionary boards shall be placed sufficiently ahead of the beginning of the temporary tracks to insure adequate notice to the said engineers to enable them to reduce the speed of the
