Text
Any person mentioned in section 48:12-109 of this title loaning such certificate shall be subject to a fine of one hundred dollars and costs, to be recovered in an action at law in the name of the state. The fine when recovered shall be paid into the treasury of the state. In case of failure to pay the fine, such person shall be committed to the county jail for a period not exceeding thirty days. Any person using or attempting to use a certificate belonging to another shall likewise be subject to the penalty prescribed by this section.
