Each member of the examining board before entering upon the duties of his office, shall subscribe to an official oath of office as provided by section 41:1-3 of the Title, Oaths and Affidavits, of the Revised Statutes, which oath shall be filed in the office of the Secretary of State. The examining board shall be entitled to the services of the Attorney-General in connection with the affairs of the board and the board shall have power to compel the attendance of witnesses, and any member thereof may administer oaths and the board may take testimony and proofs concerning any matters within its jurisdiction.
