Text
A petition signed by electors equal in number to the percentage provided by R.S. 40:74-14 requesting that the proposed ordinance be submitted to the board of commissioners, or to the vote of the people if not passed by the board, shall be filed with the municipal clerk. The names and addresses of five voters, designated as the Committee of the Petitioners, shall be included in the petition. Amended by L.1982, c. 145, s. 11, eff. Sept. 28, 1982.
