Text
As used in this act: "Department" means the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. "Board" means the New Jersey State Board of Agriculture. "Secretary" means the New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture. "Person" means the State, any municipality, political subdivision, institution, public or private, corporation, individual, partnership or other entity except that it shall not mean a person who feeds exclusively his own household garbage to swine which are raised for such person's own use. "Garbage" means putrescible animal and vegetable wastes resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking and consumption of foods including animal carcasses or parts thereof; but the term "garbage" shall not apply to waste materials from slaughterhouses which go directly to rendering plants for processing. "
