Text
The director shall appoint a deputy director for a term to correspond with his term of office. He shall assist the director in the administration and enforcement of this subtitle and have all the powers of the director when deputized by the director in the performance of such duties as the director may assign to him. He shall receive such compensation as shall be approved by the director and the president of the Civil Service Commission subject to availability of funds. The deputy director shall give bond, conditioned for the faithful discharge of his duties, in the sum of $50,000.00, which bond shall be approved by a judge of the Superior Court and filed with the State Treasurer.
