§ 38A:3-16 — Transfer of Council on Armed Forces and Veterans' Affairs to Department of Military Affairs; membership.
New Jersey·Title 38A MILITARY AND VETERANS LAW
2.The Council on Armed Forces and Veterans' Affairs established in the Department of Commerce and Economic Development pursuant to P.L.1983, c.61 (C.52:27H-45 et seq.) is hereby transferred to and established in the Department of Military Affairs. The council shall consist of 22 members: two to be appointed by the President of the Senate from the members thereof, no more than one of whom shall be from the same political party; two to be appointed by the Speaker of the General Assembly from the members thereof, no more than one of whom shall be from the same political party; the Adjutant General of the Department of Military Affairs, the Commissioner of the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Commissioner of the New Jersey Commerce Commission, the Commissioner of Education, the Commissione
