9.Exemption from taxes, local laws.
a.The Commission shall be performing essential governmental functions in exercising its powers and functions and in carrying out the provisions of this act and of any law relating thereto, and shall not be required to pay any taxes or assessments of any character, levied by either state or any local government thereof, upon any of the property used by it or its agents or contractors for the Facilitation of the Project, or any income or revenue therefrom, including any profit from a sale, lease or exchange, or in connection with the transfer thereof or of any real property interest therein.
