§ 32:2-16 — Intention and construction of article
New Jersey·Title 32 INTERSTATE AND PORT AUTHORITIES AND COMMISSIONS
It is the intention of this article to facilitate the taking of real property and interests therein by the port authority whenever it is authorized to acquire them by condemnation, and to prevent delay and obstruction in the carrying out of the purposes for which it may be authorized so to acquire real property and interest therein. To that end this article shall be liberally construed as being in aid of and supplemental to and in no case as a limitation upon any of the powers vested in the port authority by the states of New Jersey and New York and by congress, and no act or thing done by the port authority because of this article shall be set aside or invalidated by reason of any informality therein unless substantial injustice will result therefrom.
