If only a part of or interest in a given parcel of real property is taken and the assessed valuation thereof cannot be readily ascertained, the Port Authority shall pay to the Clerk of the Superior Court only such sum as in its judgment is sufficient to compensate for the real property or interest to be acquired or condemned. Any payment made by the clerk as hereinbefore provided shall for all purposes be deemed to have been made by and for the account of the Port Authority. Amended by L.1953, c. 31, p. 564, s. 7.
