The commission for the amelioration of the condition of the blind and the visually impaired, hereinafter in this article referred to as the "commission," shall hereafter be known as the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. It shall provide all means which it deems feasible for ameliorating the condition of the blind and visually impaired and shall prepare and maintain a register of all the blind within the State. Wherever used herein, the word "blind" shall be deemed to mean and include the visually impaired. Amended by L. 1962, c. 197, s. 40; L. 1970, c. 300, s. 22; L. 1986, c. 147, s. 1, eff. Nov. 13, 1986.
