18.Judicial Enforcement of Preaward Ruling by Arbitrator. If an arbitrator makes a preaward ruling in favor of a party to the arbitration proceeding, the party may request the arbitrator to incorporate the ruling into an award pursuant to section 19 of this act. A prevailing party may file a summary action with the court for an expedited order to confirm the award pursuant to section 22 of this act, in which case the court shall summarily decide the application. The court shall issue an order to confirm the award unless the court vacates, modifies, or corrects the award pursuant to section 23 or 24 of this act. L.2003,c.95,s.18.
