§ 26:6A-2 — Declaration of death based on cardio-respiratory criteria
New Jersey·Title 26 HEALTH AND VITAL STATISTICS
An individual who has sustained irreversible cessation of all circulatory and respiratory functions, as determined in accordance with currently accepted medical standards, shall be declared dead. L.1991,c.90,s.2.
