18A:71A-8. General Powers of the Authority. The authority shall have the power to: a. adopt bylaws for the regulation of its affairs and the conduct of its business; b. maintain an office at such place or places within the State as it may designate; c. adopt an official seal and alter the same at pleasure; d. sue and be sued in its own name; e. retain legal counsel of its choosing. The authority may choose representation by the Attorney General; however, as to claims of a tortious nature, the authority shall elect within 75 days of the effective date of this act whether it, and its employees, shall be represented in all such matters by the Attorney General.
