§ 17B:27B-24 — Violations, penalties.

24.The commissioner may, upon notice and hearing, assess a civil administrative penalty in an amount not less than $250 nor more than $5,000 for each day that a third party administrator or third party billing service is in violation of this act. A penalty imposed by the commissioner pursuant to this section may be in lieu of, or in addition to, suspension or revocation of a license pursuant to this act. A penalty may be recovered in a summary proceeding pursuant to the "Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999," P.L.1999, c.274 (C.2A:58-10 et seq.). L.2001,c.267,s.24.
