A State association may establish or use remote service units as defined in section 8 of P.L.1963, c. 144 (C. 17:12B-8). The commissioner may require the sharing of such remote service units with other financial institutions. The commissioner may adopt, amend, alter, or rescind regulations governing the establishment and operation of remote service units. Such regulations shall be in substantial conformity with similar rules and regulations promulgated by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. L.1981, c. 376, s. 11, eff. Dec. 31, 1981.
