Any association composed of representatives from Baptist churches may incorporate in the following manner: At any regular meeting such association shall adopt a name and resolve to be incorporated by such name. The clerk, secretary or person having custody of the minutes of the association shall make a certificate embodying such resolution, duly verify it by oath, and file the same in the office of the secretary of state. Thereupon such association shall be a corporation by the name stated in such certificate, with the same powers and privileges, and subject to the same restrictions, as if incorporated under article 1 of chapter 1 of this title (s. 16:1-1 et seq.).
