Any local church of, or any other organization connected with, The United Methodist Church now or hereafter incorporated may alter or amend its certificate of incorporation in the same manner as provided by this act for the incorporation of a local church or of such other organization; provided, however, that the notice of meeting shall state the alterations or amendments to be considered; and provided further, that no alteration or amendment shall be inconsistent with the provisions of this act or the discipline of The United Methodist Church.
