Text

Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the state shall not perform any new construction or major reconstruction of any class I, II or III highway, except highways laid out under the provisions of RSA 230:44-54 unless the city or town in which the highway is located has adopted a zoning ordinance pursuant to RSA 675:2 or 3 or a master plan pursuant to RSA 675:6. This limitation shall not apply to new construction or major reconstruction of bridges on class I, II or III highways.
