In this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:
1."Annexation" means the alteration of a school district's boundaries through the
removal of real property from one school district and its attachment to another
contiguous school district.
2."Contiguous" means two or more tracts of real property which share a common point
or which would share a common point but for an intervening road or right of way.
3."Dissolution" means the process through which a school district ceases to function and
the subsequent attachment of its real property to other school districts.
4."Reorganization" means the formation of a new school district through the
combination, in whole or in part, of two or more school districts.
5."State board" means the state board of public school education.
