Text
An individual elected as a member of or appointed to a school board shall take and file with
the school district business manager an affirmation or oath of office within ten days after
receiving notice of the election or appointment and before commencing duties. If the individual
refuses to take the affirmation or oath of office required by this section, the individual's action is
deemed to be a refusal to serve and a failure to qualify for the office pursuant to section
44-02-01.
