Text

(a)Except as provided under paragraph (b) and sections353G.115and353G.12, no disability, death, funeral, or other ancillary benefit beyond a retirement benefit is payable from the lump-sum division of the defined benefit plan or the defined contribution plan.
(b)Any member or survivor of a deceased member who receives a lump-sum distribution of the member's retirement benefit from the lump-sum division of the defined benefit plan or the defined contribution plan is entitled to a supplemental benefit under section424A.10.
