Subdivision 1.License renewal term.

(a)If a license is renewed, the license must be renewed for a two-year renewal term. The renewal term is the period from the effective date of an initial or renewed license to the expiration date of the license.
(b)The effective date of a renewed license is the day following the expiration date of the expired license.
(c)The expiration date of a renewed license is the last day of the licensee's birth month in the second calendar year following the effective date of the renewed license. Subd. 2.License renewal notices. The board must send a notice for license renewal to a licensee at least 45 days before the expiration date of the license.
