A.Any person, firm, or corporation who sells or offers for sale in the State of Louisiana through any outlet, any meat, either fresh or frozen, which is a product of a foreign country or imported from without the boundaries of the United States without first indicating this fact by the display of a conspicuous sign in their place of business, such a sign to use letters at least four inches high and be of contrasting colors and stating that the meat so offered is from a foreign country, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) or more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or be imprisoned in the parish jail not more than thirty days for the first offense.
