A.

(1)The state's poet laureate shall serve a two-year term and shall deliver an annual reading in a location in the state as designated by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities.
(2)No state poet laureate shall serve two consecutive terms. B.
(1)The selection committee shall be appointed no later than September first beginning in the year 2002 and every second year thereafter and shall submit a list of nominees to the governor no later than December first of each year following the appointment of the selection committee.
(2)The governor shall appoint the state poet laureate no later than January fifteenth of each year following the receipt of the list of nominees.
