§1061. Data sharing review A. A state agency requesting data from another state agency may petition the joint committee on governmental affairs to conduct a review of the agency's request for data sharing to gain authorization by the committee for the data to be shared between the agencies. B.

(1)The requesting agency shall send a petition in writing to both the House and Senate committees on governmental affairs. The request shall include the following information:
(a)The receiving or requesting agency and the disclosing agency.
(b)Scope of data being requested.
(c)Scope of use, including who will have access to the data.
(d)Method of transfer.
(e)Legal authority for the transfer.
(2)(a) Upon receipt of the agency's petition, the joint committee on governmental affairs may conduct a
